Ovika Goblin Swarm by Saltacus

Format: Commander

Commander: Ovika, Enigma Goliath

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger deck built around Ovika, Enigma Goliath, who converts every noncreature spell into a horde of hasted 1/1 red Phyrexian Goblin tokens equal to the spell's mana value. The deck leans heavily into instant/sorcery density, magecraft triggers, and spell-copying to chain value spells into ever-growing token armies and incidental drain. The primary plan is to flood the board with goblins through Ovika plus Krenko, Mob Boss, Tempt with Vengeance, and Bothersome Noisemaker, then convert those bodies into damage via Impact Tremors, Thunderdrum Soloist, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Sorcerer Class's level 3. A secondary engine is the graveyard: Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy, Flashback, Wisdom of Ages, and Founding the Third Path recycle instants and sorceries for repeated value. The deck plays a midrange-tempo game - durdle with cantrips and selection, deploy Ovika, then explode into tokens and burn.
