Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord commands a powerful Grixis midrange deck that blends resilient token generation, punishing attrition, and explosive burn finishes. The deck's primary engine leverages Sauron's Ward protection and automatic amass triggers on opponent spell casts to grow a massive Orc Army. Connecting with this Army triggers the Ring's temptation, allowing you to discard depleted hands and draw four fresh cards each combat cycle. This continuous influx of resources fuels decisive finishers, including Chandra's Ignition for asymmetric board wipes and All Will Be One to convert counter accumulation into lethal direct damage. Additionally, the list houses a compact two-card infinite combo with All Will Be One and Quest for Pure Flame. Supported by heavy stax and punishment staples like Orcish Bowmasters, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Notion Thief, and Painful Quandary, the deck restricts opposing development while systematically dismantling life totals across the table.
