Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu combat deck led by Tsagan, Raider Warlord. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost creatures with first strike and double strike, then curving directly into Tsagan to accelerate speed counters and trigger massive team-wide power buffs on every attack. At Max Speed, Tsagan grants deathtouch to itself and first strike to the entire team, making opposing blocks virtually impossible. Token producers such as Charismatic Conqueror and Endless Foot Assault widen the attacking line, while anthem and damage-doubling effects like Lightning, Army of One, Kwende, Pride of Femeref, and Akroma's Will turn small creatures into game-ending threats. The deck protects its board state using free commander-enabled protection spells like Flawless Maneuver and Deflecting Swat, backed by mass phase-outs from Teferi's Protection. It consistently mounts overwhelming combat pressure by Turn 5 and closes out multiplayer pods by Turn 7.
