Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counters attrition strategy commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. It uses early mana acceleration to cast the commander on Turn 3 and immediately follows with counter generators like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Sinister Gnarlbark. Auntie Ool turns counter distribution into raw card advantage when targeting your own creatures, while draining opponents whenever their creatures are blighted. The deck locks down opposing boards using Kulrath Knight, Carnifex Demon, and Maha, Its Feathers Night, preventing attacks and clearing opposing blockers. It closes games by swarming with deathtouch snake and insect tokens alongside steady life drain from Obelisk Spider and Lasting Tarfire. It also houses an infinite loop with Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs to clear opposing creatures and flood the board.
