Itazura by Ziodyne1991

Format: Commander

Commander: Itazura, Lingering Wick

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Itazura, Lingering Wick leads a UR spells-matter value deck. The commander supplies an extra card each upkeep, but it also gives an opponent a free cast, so the deck leans on that selection while racing to big token engines. The primary plan is to accelerate into Ovika, Enigma Goliath and Manaform Hellkite, then chain noncreature spells into hasty goblins and dragons. Etali, Primal Storm and Rite of Replication provide explosive free-cast turns, and Triple Triad plus Descent into Avernus grind out extra resources and damage. There is no deterministic combo; the deck wins through several large combat swings, usually finishing between turns nine and ten. Without itazura, the deck still draws and ramps, but loses its best repeatable source of card advantage.
