Deck overview

This mono-blue deck combines Merfolk tribal aggression with a noncreature spell-slinging engine led by Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor scales in power with each Merfolk under your control and produces 1/1 Merfolk tokens whenever you cast blue noncreature spells. The game plan focuses on curving out efficient Merfolk creatures, deploying Namor on turn 3 or 4, and casting utility spells and enchantments to build a wide army. Traditional Merfolk lords like Lord of Atlantis and Master of the Pearl Trident grant islandwalk and team buffs, while unblockable enablers such as Deepchannel Mentor ensure damage connects against all opponents. Sustained card draw from combat triggers like Bident of Thassa and Svyelun of Sea and Sky keeps your hand refilled. Meanwhile, asymmetric disruption pieces like Overburden and Energy Flux stall opposing strategies while your token-heavy board advances toward a decisive turn 8 combat finish.
