Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves is a Golgari elfball deck that turns early mana dorks into a wide Elf army, then closes with commander damage triggers, mass drain, or a compact life-drain combo. The primary plan is to cast Lathril early, attack to create Elf Warrior tokens, and use lords such as Elvish Archdruid and Dionus to make the board large and untapped. Secondary paths are the Bloodthirsty Conqueror + Enduring Tenacity infinite loop and drain payoffs like Throne of the God-Pharaoh and Shaman of the Pack. Lathril is the engine and finisher; there is no hidden commander. The deck is moderately dependent on her, but other Elf synergies can still function if she is removed.
