Deck overview

Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied commands an aggressive Rakdos spellslinger burn deck that weaponizes low-cost noncreature spells into table-wide lethal damage. The deck accelerates through early mana rocks into Kuja or mana refund engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist. Deploying Kuja quickly generates Wizard tokens that ping every opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast. Once four Wizards are assembled, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, doubling all Wizard damage. Amplified by multipliers like Harmonic Prodigy, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, and Artist's Talent, the deck executes a decisive storm turn around Turn 5. Powerful card flow engines like Virtue of Courage exile large sections of the library from noncombat damage triggers, enabling continuous chains of one-mana cantrips and rituals that eliminate all three opponents in a single turn. Free commander interaction like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick provides critical tempo and protection.
