Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Flash-Control strategy centered around Nymris, Oona's Trickster and kindred Faerie synergies. The game plan focuses on operating entirely at instant speed, passing the turn with open mana to cast counterspells, removal, and cantrips during each opponent's turn. Each spell cast on an opponent's turn triggers Nymris for continuous card selection and graveyard fueling, while secondary engines like Alela, Cunning Conqueror amass an army of flying Faerie tokens and goad opposing threats. In the mid-to-late game, the deck pivots from reactive control to decisive aerial aggression using mass pump and evasion enablers like Shadow Puppeteers, Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor, and Notorious Throng, or locks the board down with Hullbreaker Horror. It excels at card velocity and reactive interaction, though it requires disciplined mana management to balance holding up interaction with resolving high-CMC finishers.
