Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger and artifact synergy build commanded by Breeches, the Blastmaker. The strategy revolves around casting two spells per turn to trigger Breeches, sacrificing disposable artifact tokens such as Treasures, Clues, or Thopters to flip coins for copied spells or direct damage. Early turns focus on establishing cheap artifact generators like Third Path Iconoclast and Malcolm, the Eyes while smoothing draws with low-mana cantrips. In the midgame, engines such as Storm-Kiln Artist, Galazeth Prismari, and Descent into Avernus accumulate massive mana and Treasure reserves. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around Turn 6, leveraging high-power affinity beaters like Kappa Cannoneer and Broodstar or channeling mana into devastating X-spells like Crackle with Power and Jaya's Immolating Inferno. With coin-flip enhancements from Krark's Thumb, Breeches turns routine spellcasting into explosive board clearing and direct life-total burn.
