Mutant Menace (Fallout Commander Precon Decklist) by SteveMTG

Format: Commander

Commander: The Wise Mothman

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 32

Deck overview

The Wise Mothman commands a Sultai midrange strategy combining radiation mill attrition with explosive +1/+1 counter growth. The deck uses low-cost ramp to deploy The Wise Mothman on turn 3 and begin distributing rad counters on turn 4. As players mill nonland cards during their precombat main phases, Mothman distributes counters across your attacking creatures. Synergies like Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, and Hardened Scales rapidly accelerate power on flying and trampling attackers to threaten lethal combat damage across turns 5 through 7. Secondary threats such as Screeching Scorchbeast and Watchful Radstag generate additional board presence and ensure resilience if the commander is removed. While the deck boasts high internal redundancy and consistent mana development, its reactive interaction is relatively expensive and it carries minimal instant-speed protection, leaving it vulnerable to opposing combo finishes and timely board sweepers.
