Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius tap-control and go-wide token strategy commanded by Hylda of the Icy Crown. Its core philosophy turns defensive tempo mechanics into aggressive board presence: every time an opponent's creature is tapped, Hylda converts a single mana into a 4/4 Elemental token, a team-wide buff, or card selection. The deck controls the flow of combat through over twenty dedicated tap enablers, ranging from repeatable engines like Opposition and Timin, Youthful Geist to explosive mass-tap spells like Blustersquall and Icy Blast. Once an army of Elementals is assembled, defensive barriers crumble as opposing blockers are locked down, allowing unhindered combat steps that culminate in lethal overruns via Moonshaker Cavalry or Akroma's Will. Supported by dense Azorius interaction, attack taxes, and elite protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver, the deck grinds out opponents while translating board control directly into overwhelming offensive momentum.
