Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos "ping" value engine helmed by Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. The core strategy is to deploy cheap pinging creatures and spells that deal 1 damage to opponents, triggering Ob Nixilis to put a +1/+1 counter on himself and exile the top card of your library, which you can play until your next end step. This creates a snowballing advantage: each ping fuels more spells, untaps pingers, and builds counters. The deck can pivot into multiple win conditions, including a huge Exsanguinate, a All Will Be One machine-gun with a large Ob Nixilis, or a storm-style Grapeshot fueled by chaining cheap spells. Chain of Smog + Dualcaster Mage provides an infinite discard loop that can empty opponents' hands. The low mana curve (2.29 average) and dense pinger suite allow the deck to generate explosive turns once the commander is on the battlefield.
