Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir tempo deck commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary strategy deploys cheap, unblockable creatures on Turn 1 and uses Commander Ninjutsu on Turn 2 to cheat Yuriko into play tapped and attacking. Yuriko's combat damage trigger bypasses commander tax, draws cards, and burns each opponent for the revealed card's mana value. The deck maximizes this burn output using high mana value cards with alternate casting costs, such as Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, and Dig Through Time, alongside precise topdeck tutors like Insidious Dreams and Lim-Dûl's Vault. A dense suite of free and efficient countermagic protects the aggressive clock while disrupting opponents, allowing the deck to close out the table by Turn 5.
