Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger strategy led by Vivi Ornitier, focusing on casting noncreature spells to grow the commander, ping each opponent, and generate mana bursts. Because Vivi converts power into mana once per turn, the deck scales upward as cheap cantrips and interaction expand its stat line. The midgame relies on turning that generated mana into expensive force multipliers such as Thousand-Year Storm, Archmage of Runes, or Prismari, the Inspiration. Secondary combat lines leverage prowess triggers, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Zada, Hedron Grinder to push chip damage alongside Vivi's direct burn. With a standard 36-land base and fair ramp, the deck operates comfortably at general power levels. Its primary constraints are an absence of tutoring, light protection for Vivi, and a lack of enchantment removal, requiring careful timing to resolve and protect high-impact spells before burning out the table.
