Otter Izzet (Storm) by user3081524

Format: Commander

Commander: Alania, Divergent Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spell-copy/storm deck helmed by Alania, Divergent Storm, which copies the first instant, first sorcery, and first Otter spell each turn. The deck is built around cheap cantrips, rituals, and spell-copy multipliers like Thousand-Year Storm, Ral's emblem, and Prismari, the Inspiration to generate massive storm counts and burn finishes. The primary plan is to chain many spells in one turn and finish with a stormed-out Grapeshot, Boltwave, or Crackle with Power. Secondary paths include direct damage from Guttersnipe and prowess-based combat. The hidden commander is Prismari, the Inspiration, an eight-mana dragon that grants storm to all instants and sorceries.
