Deck overview

This Bant deck is commanded by Roon of the Hidden Realm and centers on extracting overwhelming resource advantage from enter-the-battlefield abilities. Early turns focus on deploying 2-drop and 3-drop creature ramp like Wood Elves and Farhaven Elf to establish colored mana fixing. By Turns 4 to 5, the deck establishes repeatable blink engines using Soulherder, Roon of the Hidden Realm, or Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, repeatedly recycling card-drawing creatures such as Cloudblazer and Mulldrifter. Mid-to-late game turns control the table through asymmetric removal and stax like Riptide Gearhulk and Acidic Slime. The deck finishes games on Turns 7 to 8 through an overwhelming aerial alpha strike via Moonshaker Cavalry or by executing an infinite mana and flicker loop with Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake. Cheap instant flickers and flash creatures provide sturdy protection against interaction.
