Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel by CryogenicMarine

Format: Commander

Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel leads an Orzhov lifegain control deck that converts incidental life totals into massive card advantage. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early extort creatures and passive lifegain enchantments to establish a resilient defensive perimeter. Once Niv-Mizzet resolves, every point of lifegain transforms into card draw, allowing the deck to rapidly dig through the library. The deck secures victory by draining opponents out through Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and stacked extort triggers from Pontiff of Blight. Alternatively, it can draw into and resolve Approach of the Second Sun on consecutive turns to close out the game.
