Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Boros stax-aggro build centered around Winota, Joiner of Forces. Its strategy relies on curving out cheap, evasive non-Human creatures in the opening turns, such as Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh, Ornithopter, and Goldhound. Once Winota enters the battlefield on Turn 4, attacking with these non-Humans triggers multiple deep library digs that cheat powerful Human creatures directly onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible. The deck leverages an oppressive suite of stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate, Archon of Emeria, and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben to paralyze opposing game plans, while simultaneously cheating in devastating combat multipliers like Blade Historian and Angrath's Marauders. Because Winota's ability puts creatures into play rather than casting them, the deck easily breaks parity on its own Rule of Law and taxing effects, overwhelming opponents in combat while denying them the resources needed to mount an effective defense.
