Deck overview

Arnyn, Deathbloom Botanist leads a mono-black aristocrats deck built around sacrificing low-power and low-toughness creatures for life drain, card advantage, and mana generation. The deck establishes early board presence with token generators like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer before deploying Arnyn to turn every death trigger into life swings. It controls opposing creature boards through repeated edict effects and Grave Pact, starving opponents of threats while keeping its own hand full with engines like Skullclamp and Braids, Arisen Nightmare. The primary win condition is a compact infinite drain loop combining Arnyn with Warren Soultrader and Gravecrawler, which drains all opponents to zero in a single turn. Redundant payoffs like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance ensure the deck can win even if the commander is removed.
