Deck overview

Edgar Markov is an Eminence-driven Mardu Vampire tribal/aristocrats deck. Casting any Vampire spell creates a free 1/1 Vampire token even while Edgar sits in the command zone, so the early game is about chaining cheap Vampires, building a wide board, and converting deaths into life swings with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Cruel Celebrant, and Falkenrath Noble. Edgar himself is a haste 4/4 anthem who attacks the turn he lands and spreads +1/+1 counters before combat damage. The deck wins through attrition: grind with sacrifice outlets, pump with lords and Door of Destinies, then finish with Exsanguinate or a Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose life-gain payoff. Butcher of Malakir and Captivating Vampire provide control elements, while Victimize, Unearth, and Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord keep the swarm coming.
