Deck overview

The Great Goblin commands a Rakdos aristocrats and tribal burn deck that turns +1/+1 counters and creature deaths into lethal damage and card velocity. The game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive Goblins, Orcs, and Amass engines to rapidly build a wide board. Placing counters on these creatures triggers the commander to deal direct burn to opponents, while sacrificing or trading tokens exiles fresh cards from the library to maintain momentum. The deck compounds this pressure using multiplicative damage engines such as Impact Tremors, Mirkwood Bats, Pashalik Mons, and Goblin Bombardment. When critical mass is reached, spells like Assault on Osgiliath, Collective Inferno, or activated abilities from Krenko, Mob Boss overwhelm the table through synchronized combat and sacrifice burn. While the list lacks dedicated tutors and board protection, its extreme functional redundancy and built-in death-trigger card flow allow it to rebuild quickly and close games within two turn cycles of critical onset.
