Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Dragon tribal stompy strategy helmed by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early mana ramp and tribal cost reducers to accelerate out high-cost Dragons ahead of the normal mana curve. Once Lathliss, Dragon Queen enters the battlefield, every subsequent nontoken Dragon creates an additional 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly doubling board presence. The deck leverages devastating enters-the-battlefield burn and combat amplifiers like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Terror of Mount Velus, and Utvara Hellkite to convert mass Dragon deployment into decisive burst damage and lethal aerial swings. While mono-red limits interaction against noncreature permanents, dense asymmetric creature sweepers and aggressive flying clocks keep opponents under constant pressure. The deck's primary vulnerability lies in its reliance on high-mana investments and susceptibility to sweepers, but its threat redundancy allows it to rebuild effectively and close games within two combat steps.
