Deck overview

This Izzet partner deck uses Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar to establish a potent mana engine and execute compact combo finishes. When Malcolm deals combat damage to an opponent, Kediss replicates that damage across all other opponents, triggering Malcolm to produce three Treasure tokens each combat. This explosive acceleration allows the deck to deploy inexpensive countermagic while assembling its primary win condition: Glint-Horn Buccaneer. Because Glint-Horn is a Pirate, activating its discard ability while attacking deals damage to all opponents, generating enough Treasures through Malcolm to loop infinitely and win on Turn 4. Secondary lines utilize creature-type modification spells to turn artifact pingers like Reckless Fireweaver into Pirates for alternative infinite damage loops, or combine Niv-Mizzet, Parun with Curiosity. Backed by a dense suite of one- and two-mana counterspells, the deck provides swift, protected combo turns.
