Deck overview

Smeagol, Helpful Guide leads a Golgari aristocrats/land-value hybrid. The primary plan is to sacrifice creatures every turn, get the Ring to tempt at end step, and steal an opponent's land. Those lands feed landfall engines such as Dunedain Rangers, Scute Swarm, and Tireless Provisioner while death triggers from Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and Syr Konrad turn attrition into lethal drain. The fastest wins are two loops: Smeagol plus Dunedain Rangers plus Bloodghast plus a free sacrifice outlet to chain Ring tempts, mill libraries, and steal all lands; and Ashnod's Altar plus Pitiless Plunderer plus Reassembling Skeleton for infinite deaths and mana. Tutors and recursion assemble the loop; Finale of Devastation and Bolas's Citadel offer backup finishes.
