Sword and Claw by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Khorvath Brightflame and Sylvia Brightspear

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros partner deck combines Sylvia Brightspear (double strike for Dragons) and Khorvath Brightflame (flying and haste for Knights) to create a hybrid Dragon Knight tribal aggro strategy. The primary game plan is to deploy a critical mass of Dragons, enable double strike via Sylvia, and overwhelm opponents with evasive, high power combat damage. Synergies like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Utvara Hellkite amplify the clock, while Terror of the Peaks and Hellkite Charger (extra combats) serve as finishers. The deck augments its beatdown plan with a dense interaction suite of spot removal, protection spells, and silence effects, but lacks counterspells. Card advantage comes from The One Ring, Chivalric Alliance, and Folk Hero, supported by moderate artifact ramp.
