Kona by heckyeahboi

Format: Commander

Commander: Kona, Rescue Beastie

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kona, Rescue Beastie is the enabler of a mono-green cheat strategy: the deck develops mana, attacks with Kona, then uses Survival to put a permanent from hand onto the battlefield before the second main phase. There is no true hidden commander, but Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant is the apex payoff and the card the deck most often wants to reveal. Secondary paths include Natural Order, Eladamri, Korvecdal, Sledge-Class Seedship, and Last March of the Ents. The deck aims to amass a board of trampling fatties, draw heavily off creature ETBs, then finish with Pathbreaker Ibex, Overwhelming Stampede, or Unnatural Growth in a single alpha strike.
