Deck overview

Lyra, Tolarian Archangel pilots a mono-blue tempo and token midrange strategy centered around triggering her end-step ability by drawing three or more cards each turn. The deck leverages an extensive suite of multi-card draw spells, cantrips, and Coastal Piracy effects—such as Curiosity Crafter and Bident of Thassa—to churn through the library while consistently generating a formidable aerial army of 3/3 flying Angel tokens. Supporting engines like Teferi's Ageless Insight, Archmage of Runes, and Krang, the All-Powerful dramatically accelerate card advantage and board expansion, while versatile copy creatures duplicate key utility pieces or opposing threats. Defensive capabilities stem from an efficient counterspell suite designed to protect pivotal engines and disrupt opposing win conditions. While vulnerable to resolved board sweepers and lacking dedicated tutor packages, the deck compensates with overwhelming raw card velocity, reliable airborne combat pressure, and steady incremental value.
