Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an extra-combat tempo and combo build commanded by Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Sword Coast Sailor. By guaranteeing both an extra combat phase and unblockable evasion against the highest-life player directly from the command zone, the deck consistently generates explosive combat pressure starting on Turn 5. Every attack step triggers Karlach to untap attacking creatures, grant first strike, and initiate an additional combat phase, which doubles the output of on-hit card draw engines like Bident of Thassa and treasure generators like The Reaver Cleaver. Backing this aggressive core is a lean, 19-card instant-speed interaction suite that protects Karlach and disrupts opposing wins. When combat damage is obstructed, the deck transitions into compact infinite combos including Dualcaster Mage with Twinflame, Godo, Bandit Warlord with Helm of the Host, and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker with Zealous Conscripts to eliminate the entire table.
