Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrat strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. It focuses on building an early presence of synergistic Zombie creatures, utilizing lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief to inflate their power, and then using Gisa's activated ability to exponentially multiply token count. The deck converts a wide board state into victory through overwhelming combat damage and life-drain engines such as Vengeful Dead, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While the deck excels at sustained attrition and board replenishment via cards like Undead Augur and Open the Graves, its primary game plan is relatively slow to initialize, requiring Gisa to survive summoning sickness without built-in protection. It plays an honest, resilient mid-game that punishes noncreature and combat-light strategies through sheer board weight.
