Deck overview

This Orzhov deck combines an aggressive Aura strategy with combat manipulation and pillowfort control. Led by Killian, Decisive Mentor, the deck casts low-cost Auras to tap and goad dangerous opposing creatures while drawing cards whenever enchanted creatures attack. The deck controls the pace of the game by forcing opponents to battle one another under heavy tax effects from Ghostly Prison and Nils, Discipline Enforcer. Meanwhile, engines like Archon of Sun's Grace, Ajani's Chosen, and Combat Calligrapher build a wide flying army, and Eriette of the Charmed Apple drains the table each turn. Asymmetric board wipes such as Winds of Rath clear opposing boards while keeping your enchanted threats intact. The deck wins by turning opponent aggression inward and finishing remaining players with overwhelming flying swarms or a massive Aura-augmented threat like Eldrazi Conscription.
