Deck overview

This deck combines a relentless discard stax strategy with the powerful graveyard recursion of Muldrotha, the Gravetide. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana early to deploy asymmetric discard payoffs such as Waste Not, Tergrid, God of Fright, and Oppression. Once an engine is active, casting a mass discard spell like Windfall or Dark Deal strips opposing hands while flooding the board with stolen permanents, Zombie tokens, and burst mana. Muldrotha, the Gravetide ensures that any discarded, sacrificed, or destroyed permanents can be immediately recast from the graveyard, completely breaking parity on symmetric resource denial. Opponents are locked out of options by continuous discard taxes and cards like Zur's Weirding, while steady life loss from Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and combat damage from large Spirit threats close out the game.
