Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact synergy deck commanded by Mendicant Core, Guidelight. It leverages low-cost artifacts, affinity spells, and cost reducers to flood the battlefield with artifact tokens and scalable threats. Token producers like Sai, Master Thopterist, Efficient Construction, and Thopter Spy Network create an evasive air force, while powerhouses like Kappa Cannoneer, Master of Etherium, and Nettlecyst translate broad artifact counts into tall combat damage. The commander provides a secondary scaling attacker and eventual spell-duplication once max speed is achieved through combat chip damage. The deck operates primarily at sorcery speed, leveraging high-efficiency card draw spells like Thoughtcast and Thought Monitor to maintain hand size. While it features strong defensive tools such as Bronze Guardian and Propaganda, its clock is bound to multi-turn combat engagements, making it susceptible to well-timed nonland board wipes before it closes the game.
