Deck overview

This Golgari lifegain/drain deck, helmed by Dina, Soul Steeper, aims to grind out opponents through incremental life loss and synergistic drain triggers. The primary game plan is to establish a low-curve board of deathtouch creatures and lifegain payoffs, then convert every death into a multi-opponent drain. Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Falkenrath Noble form the core of the drain engine, while Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Hooded Blightfang amplify the reach. The deck lacks traditional infinite combos, relying instead on constant attrition and a modest recursion suite to rebuild after wipes. The commander itself provides a recurring drain and a sac outlet, but the deck can function without her.
