Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Group Slug and Attrition engine led by Mogis, God of Slaughter. The primary game plan revolves around deploying early mana acceleration into an indestructible commander, then stacking persistent damage punishers and tax effects such as Painful Quandary, Descent into Avernus, The Lord of Pain, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. As opponents attempt to develop their boards, every card drawn, spell cast, and combat step exacts a heavy toll in life and permanents. The deck controls wide boards through efficient sweepers like Toxic Deluge, Blasphemous Act, and The Meathook Massacre, which trigger death-drain effects from Blood Artist and Mayhem Devil. While the deck features an infinite finish via Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond, its primary strength is inevitable, table-wide life total compression that finishes games around Turn 8.
