Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-red burn and group slug engine commanded by Purphoros, God of the Forge. The game plan revolves around accelerating Purphoros onto the battlefield by Turn 3 or 4, then rapidly converting mana into multiple creature tokens using spells like Song of Totentanz, Firecat Blitz, and Tempt with Vengeance. Because Purphoros deals 2 damage to each opponent whenever another creature enters under your control, every token spell acts as unblockable, symmetric direct damage that bypasses combat and traditional board stalls. Damage multipliers such as Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, and Fiery Emancipation quickly escalate this pressure into lethal range. Proactive lock pieces like Blood Moon and Winter Moon stall opposing multi-color decks, while instant-speed redirects protect your key turns. The deck closes games reliably around Turn 6 by burning out all three opponents at the same time.
