Format: Commander

Commander: Karador, Ghost Chieftain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Karador, Ghost Chieftain stands at the helm of an Abzan graveyard-value deck, but the deck's true engine is the Basking Broodscale + Long Feng, Grand Secretariat loop. Basking Broodscale makes Eldrazi Spawn whenever it gets a +1/+1 counter; sacrificing the Spawn triggers Long Feng, who puts another counter on Basking Broodscale, closing the loop. Peregrin Took adds extra Food tokens, and Marauding Blight-Priest or Defiant Bloodlord converts that Food life gain into a table drain. Karidor is the recovery engine and a way to replay a key combo piece after a wipe. There is no double-faced commander, but the hidden commander is the Broodscale/Long Feng synergy engine.
