Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-red spellslinger and swarm deck centered on Zada, Hedron Grinder. The strategy revolves around spending early turns deploying cheap creature tokens with spells like Dragon Fodder and Krenko's Command. Once a sufficient board presence is established, Zada is cast alongside a single-target cantrip such as Crimson Wisps, Expedite, or Ancestral Anger. Zada copies the spell for each creature controlled, turning modest 1-mana cantrips into massive card-drawing bursts that draw 4 to 8 cards at a time. The deck then chains into explosive rituals like Battle Hymn and Brightstone Ritual, generating surplus red mana to cycle through the library. The game concludes on the same turn via mass pump spells like Fists of Flame and Temur Battle Rage, delivering overwhelming trample damage across the entire table, supplemented by direct damage triggers from Guttersnipe and Firebrand Archer.
