Artifact Surveil - Dimir by Crptos

Format: Commander

Commander: Golbez, Crystal Collector

Bracket: 4

DeckCheck Threat Index: 74

Deck overview

This Dimir deck combines explosive artifact ramp, robust graveyard recursion, and efficient instant-win lines. Led by Golbez, Crystal Collector, the deck uses cheap mana rocks and artifact lands to trigger surveil, filling the graveyard while ramping mana. The primary win condition is the compact Thassa's Oracle plus Demonic Consultation combo, which can close the game on Turn 4 with free counterspell protection like Fierce Guardianship and Force of Will. If the direct combo is contested, the deck pivots into an oppressive midrange control plan. It reanimates huge threats such as Toxrill, the Corrosive and Sheoldred, Whispering One, or leverages Golbez's end-step trigger with Death's Shadow in the graveyard to burn all opponents for 13 life per turn once eight artifacts are assembled. High card velocity from Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora ensures continuous resource generation.
