Niv - Spellslinger Deck by user1755483

Format: Commander

Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Parun

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger combo deck built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun as both card-advantage engine and win condition. The primary plan is to resolve the uncounterable Parun, protect it with a dense permission suite, and turn its draw-triggered damage into a lethal chain with Curiousity-style enchantments or a second Niv-Mizzet. Backup paths use spell-fired pings from Thermo-Alchemist, Veyran, and Fiery Inscription to grind out the table if the combo does not assemble. Both Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Niv-Mizzet, Visionary function as hidden commanders: the Firemind is a redundant combo head, while Visionary converts all noncombat damage into card draw. In a normal draw, the deck aims to assemble the seven-mana Parun-plus-enchantment kill by turns 7-8.
