Deck overview

Vren, the Relentless leads a rat-tribal control deck that turns every opponent creature death into exiled cards and a growing swarm of Rat tokens. The primary plan is to keep the board clear with removal and sacrifice effects, then use Vren's end-step trigger to amass a wide Rat army. Secondary paths include combo finishes with Marrow-Gnawer plus Intruder Alarm or Thornbite Staff, and drain loops with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Ayara. The deck also contains a hidden commander in Marrow-Gnawer, which can generate unlimited tokens when combined with untap engines. The deck is built to use Vren's exile-and-token engine as the main threat, with Marrow-Gnawer as a backup engine and combo piece.
