Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Rakdos midrange engine focused on Treasure generation, artifact aristocrats, and burst burn finishers. Built around Shadow the Hedgehog, the strategy leverages the commander's Chaos Control ability to grant split second to any spell cast using mana from an artifact, making critical board wipes, removal, and win conditions uncounterable on the stack. The early game establishes reliable mana acceleration and token generation using cards like Captain Lannery Storm, Xorn, and Professional Face-Breaker. In the midgame, the deck compounds card advantage through combat triggers and impulse draw while deploying passive burn engines like Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and Ingenious Artillerist. The deck finishes games on turns 6 to 7 by converting stockpiled Treasure reserves into massive Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate casts, or by leveraging combat damage from heavy dragons like Ancient Copper Dragon and Cavern-Hoard Dragon.
