Commander: Hamza, Guardian of Arashin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hamza is a GW counters-and-lifegain deck that turns early lifegain and +1/+1 counter engines into a wide, trampling army. The primary plan is to put counters on creatures quickly, cast Hamza at a reduced cost, and use his discount to chain creature spells; from there the deck wins either through beatdown with Elspeth/Ajani/Ouroboroid or through the compact Basking Broodscale plus Rosie Cotton infinite-token combo. Lifegain payoffs such as Daxos, Heliod, and Soul Warden make the combo also generate huge life and counter triggers. The deck has a strong mid-game but lacks instant-speed interaction, so it wants to assemble its win before opposing combos resolve.
