Deck overview

This Jeskai deck pairs Atreus, Impulsive Son and Kratos, Stoic Father at the helm of a God-tribal, experience-counter engine. The game plan focuses on curving out both commanders, attacking with God creatures to amass experience counters on the player, and leveraging Kratos's end-step trigger to build massive board presence. Atreus converts these counters into substantial card draw and table-wide burn. Proliferate spells accelerate counter accumulation, while high-impact Gods and payoffs like God-Eternal Oketra, The Locust God, and All Will Be One convert this advantage into decisive combat and direct damage. The permanent nature of experience counters makes the deck resilient against creature removal, ensuring fast recovery. However, the deck is vulnerable to fast combo strategies due to its lack of low-cost instant-speed interaction and countermagic, relying instead on sorcery sweepers and proactive board building to close games around Turn 8.
