Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula leads an aggressive Grixis spellslinger and combat-storm deck that weaponizes the declare attackers step. When Azula attacks, she generates combat-locked red mana via Firebending 2 and automatically copies any spell cast while attacking. The deck exploits this ability by chaining instant-speed rituals, card draw, and magecraft triggers from cards like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus during combat. Discard-draw spells like Big Score and Unexpected Windfall become strong card and Treasure engines because the duplicated copies do not require paying the additional discard cost. Using flash enablers like Borne Upon a Wind or direct combat burn like Electrodominance, the deck channels large mana pools into a duplicated Crackle with Power to eliminate all three opponents in one combat phase. Supported by flexible interaction and equipment protection, the deck reliably achieves a decisive victory on Turn 5.
