Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos group slug engine commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost, repeatable life-loss permanents such as Razorkin Needlehead, Ankh of Mishra, and Kederekt Parasite on early turns. When Valgavoth enters the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4, each opponent's natural game actions—drawing cards, playing lands, or casting spells—triggers life loss on their respective turns. This repeatedly triggers Valgavoth, granting +1/+1 counters and drawing up to three extra cards per table rotation without mana investment. The massive influx of cards fuels disruptive removal and powerful force multipliers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Manabarbs, and Painful Quandary. The deck finishes games through lethal flying commander damage, table-wide burn spells such as Chandra's Ignition and Exsanguinate, or a two-card infinite drain loop using Enduring Tenacity alongside Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror.
