Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and spellslinger attrition build helmed by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The strategy revolves around deploying defensive barriers, taxing pieces, and goad effects to insulate life totals while casting noncreature spells of mana value 3 or greater to trigger Y'shtola's repeatable table-wide 2-damage burn and lifegain. With efficient ramp, the deck establishes Y'shtola by turn 4 and quickly compounds advantage through high-synergy pieces such as Delney, Streetwise Lookout and Helm of the Ghastlord, converting every spell into multi-opponent discard and massive card draw. An interactive suite featuring uncounterable removal (Void Rend, Dovin's Veto), free interaction (Snuff Out), and game-saving answers (Teferi's Protection, Cyclonic Rift, Farewell) maintains total control over the battlefield. The deck steadily grinds down all three opponents' life totals, culminating in a critical onset by turn 6 and finishing the table around turn 8 via compounded spell triggers or a massive Exsanguinate.
