Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Steal and Sacrifice Attrition strategy commanded by Edea, Possessed Sorceress. The game plan accelerates through dense two-mana artifacts to cast Edea on Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Edea immediately triggers at combat to temporarily steal an opponent's most impactful creature with haste. After attacking, the deck sacrifices the borrowed threat to outlets like Goblin Bombardment, Ashnod's Altar, or Viscera Seer, triggering Edea's ability to draw a card while recycling or permanently keeping threats through blink engines like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling. Asymmetric buffs from Don Andres, the Renegade turn stolen creatures into lethal beaters, while cards like Braids, Arisen Nightmare and Dominus of Fealty maintain suffocating board denial. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through cumulative combat pressure, game-ending spells like Mob Rule, or high-synergy aristocrat loops. Free protection like Deflecting Swat and efficient countermagic shield the engine against opposing disruption.
