The trees man… by user2281094

Format: Commander

Commander: Toph, Earthbending Master

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-green landfall +1/+1 counters deck helmed by Toph, Earthbending Master. The commander accumulates an experience counter from every landfall and, on attack, earthbends a land into a hasty 0/0 creature with X +1/+1 counters, where X is her experience count. The plan is to ramp aggressively - 40 lands plus Nature's Lore, Three Visits, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, and Oracle of Mul Daya - then deploy counter doublers like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, The Earth Crystal, and Innkeeper's Talent to explode the board with Kalonian Hydra, Mossborn Hydra, and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower. Wins come from combat with enormous trampling creatures, often finished by Overwhelming Stampede. Secondary lines are exponential counter engines that live entirely in the 99, making the commander a value piece rather than the load-bearing engine.
