Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari token swarm and lifegain archetype piloted by Blech, Loafing Pest. The strategy focuses on chaining low-cost lifegain triggers—derived from soul-sister effects like Essence Warden and Bogwater Lumaret or landfall triggers from Eumidian Terrabotanist—into massive counter distributions across Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Token engines such as Iridescent Hornbeetle, Scute Swarm, and Beledros Witherbloom create dense boards that double as lethal combat forces and aristocrat fuel. Sacrificial outlets like Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar pair with Mirkwood Bats, Dina, Soul Steeper, and Arnyn, Deathbloom Botanist to drain opponents through non-combat lines. While resilient against targeted destruction thanks to green protection spells and recursion, the deck remains vulnerable to exile-based board wipes and lacks stack-based interaction.
